A Blessed Week

IMG_0249

Dear Friends,

I am taking a short break.  I am out of town babysitting my grandsons, Round Top and Warrenton are in full swing, I have plans to go to the blogger party, and a break right now feels right . I won’t be home for another week.

I value you all so much- each and everyone of you. You have transformed my life. Thank you for commenting and saying some of the kindest things anyone has ever said to me.

        Laura

Have the most fun with the grands! My blog doesn't have a purpose or theme or direction or intention or whatever we want to call it. Someone asked me when I told them I had a blog what the purpose was. Probably the first time in my life I didn't have an answer. I just said, "Well, anything Southern or Preppy." Duh. What a dumb answer. So thank you for my new answer "Stream of Consciousness"! Hugs to you to have a colorful, sunny, bright, loving Easter. xoxo

I'm going to miss you while you are taking your break, but I know you will be coming back to blogland full of new stories, pictures and ideas. Enjoy those darling grandsons of yours and have fun at Round Top. I want to go there so badly!
Love your message and I identify with wondering where to take your blog, but glad you have destressed a bit about direction. See... you need a flighty mind like mine!
Have fun, dear friend.
Hugs,

Have a wonderful break! I'm the same. I look at my blog, and some of it is very personal. Some is silly and whimsical. Some is decorating and gardening. I don't really fit into any category. And that's all right!

Laura, enjoy those grandies - that is time well spent! I appreciate your writing and I know that you must have been one of those English teachers that I wish my grown children had had. I think you do know what your blog is....it is a creative expression with no boundaries - that takes courage and creativity! I stick with non-personal...probably because I still don't trust the internet and Facebook; and I don't want to text (even though my students taught me how!). Do I sound like I am stuck in the past? Anyway, have a great break and belssings to you! Linda

Have a wonderful Easter and a great vacation. Your comments about the purpose of your blog resonated with me because I only had a loose idea of what my blog would be about, and it hasn't been about even that vague idea. And I'm one of the anonymous bloggers who avoid writing about personal things - which isn't nearly as nice as someone like you who shares personal stories and thoughts. Anyway, I always enjoy your posts and hope you return rejuvenated!
Cheers,
Leah

Laura, I thought you only blogged to make my day brighter. Oh well, I guess everything can't be all about me.lol!
I find that the minute I try to make my blog something to please others, the less it pleases me. Yes, you must write for yourself only.
have a wonderful time with those sweet ones and I will talk to you soon.

You are always so eloquent and so inspiring. I've always thought my blog is like me, ever changing, not devoted to any one particular thing.
Hope you have a lovely Easter break!

Hi Laura...
Enjoy your break. :) I will be taking one soon also...
I just wanted to say that I don't think you will be disappointed in the Argyranthemum..and they come in a few different colors. I am delighted with them. I did take the extra precaution of using "Amend" mixed with my soil to plant them in and now when they seem to be fading a bit toward winter...I just cut them down to the within a few inches. Their root systems seems very thick and sturdy. I am so please with the results that I am going to add more this year. They with stood the high heat here and that impressed me. It says that they grow well in sun OR shade and that's great.
Good luck with them and enjoy your little grands!
