This One’s For Edie

I believe that the hand that guides my seeking

is the hand of God.

Sometimes this nameless, simple search,

as in looking for a blog voice that speaks to me,

reaps wonderful results.

Life (in) Grace

blog

and its writer Edie

are a testament to that surprising bounty and

guided search.

It is almost as if God whispered-

‘Look here.’

After learning that Edie

had lost her home and all of her

earthy possessions in a devastating fire,

a sense of urgency to email her

settled in my heart.

Here is a brief excerpt

from that email.

***

…When I first read about your home, I thought,

'Edie has a higher calling.'

Through your blog, you have ministered to us all, and I have gloried in your intelligence and your special, spiritually guided
turn of phrase.

This is going to kick you UP- not out.

You are destined for more.

You will write more-
read more-
love more-
   teach more-

This is the crucible that will hone your spirit further.

You are destined for more Edie.

Visit Life (in) Grace today

to wish Edie Happy Birthday,

to read her wonderful posts,

and to meet your new friend.

Happy Birthday Edie-

Love, Laura

I love it when a blogger supports and shares the story of another blogger -- that's what this is all about, Laura. I'll definitely check out Edie's blog. She sounds like a remarkable woman.

Wow. I can't even imagine. I sent her a holding cross yesterday and pray that she and her family continue to feel embraced in support and love.
