This One is For Me

IMG_4675

I am thankful for

second chances,

forgiveness,

redemption,

and

‘overs’.

IMG_4676

I am thankful for

my upbringing,

my common sense,

my instincts,

and

my

‘if I were on a sinking ship’

thinking.

IMG_4613

I am thankful that,

I can say without a shadow of a doubt,

you would want my three daughters on that sinking ship

with you.

They will figure out a way to get you out.

IMG_4682

I am thankful for

my love of sport-

the world’s great

equalizer

and teacher.

I am thankful

that I love the underdog

and all the

stories associated with that.

IMG_3371

I am thankful that I

had the best of times,

for my kind of traditional

personality

and my sensibilities,

in teaching.

And I am thankful for you,

and anyone else who

thinks

‘there she goes again’,

and keeps reading.

Dearest Laura..
I am thankful for you..
and all the ideals that go into making you so uniquely YOU!
I know, in my heart, you are a person I would dearly love having as a friend..
I feel you would be there whenever and wherever..
no questions asked other than what can I do?
Too bad we live so far apart..
but thanks to blogging, we are virtual friends, sharing our morning cups while greeting our day!
Thanks !
warmest sandy hugs..

Hi Laura, I do loving reading your thoughts. You have such a genuine warmth about you.

It is always a hapy day for me when you stop by my blog. You may remember me telling you once I also have three daughters. I have a feeling we have a lot of other things in common too. :)

You asked about my blue plate...well, as we bloggers know, good deals are to be found in the thrift stores. I started out with a pile of a dozen dinner plates. Seems like they were 1/2 price, costing $1 a piece. Frequently I will run across another single and up to about 16 or 17 now! I don't care that I don't have cups and saucers, etc. I like using white with these pretty dishes! Keep on looking!

Laura, I want you to be my neighbor!!!! I can just imagine the afternoon chats we would have.

I started a garden journal called Grace Gardens. That is where I will be posting my weekly work in the garden. I don't have comments enabled on it, but you can e-mail me anytime with questions. The new blog can be found on my profile page. Work won't be starting anytime soon, because I just looked outside and so far we have gotten 3" of snow already tonight. SIGH!

I haven't visited you in a while, and not to sound "cliche" but I am thankful that I did. Your words touched me and were very inspirational to me. Hope you have a great day!

What a great post!! And what a sweet and thoughtful person you are. I just wanted to thank you so so very much for my Mexican Wedding cookies you brought me in Warrenton. There were times those cookies were exactly what I needed, so thank you again!!
