Botanical Prints

IMG_6004

I have collected these prints for a while now,

even though some of them I found on my searches

started out looking like this.

IMG_3666

Having each print represent a month

makes them particularly special.

So one day,

I piled them all in Hauler 2,

headed to Michael’s with my framing coupon,

and had all of the mats changed.

All. 10. OF. THEM.

These will ALL

be hung in the study,

recently re-christened the

NAP ROOM,

gallery style.

As a slinger and an eye-baller,

creating a mathmetical formula of perfect

print placements

for said gallery wall,

with

brown paper, tape, a step ladder, a hammer, my husband spotting me,

and a level will be great fun!

If my daughters are reading this,

they are thinking…

‘please don’t make me help, please don’t make me help,

please don’t make me help.’

What a lovely collection! I'm with your daughters, I wouldn't want to have that task either. Ha.

Bless you!

Gorgeous collection! I've been where you are going with this framing ;-). If I were there, I'd for sure help you. Just block off a day . . . you won't need it all, but make sure there is nothing else on your calendar, so you can sip wine and enjoy it after you finish. Take a pic for us!!! XOXO

Love your botanical prints. I think I remember seeing these many moons ago! Like maybe in the early 60s?
We need to visit!

You sound so organised! I love a collection but am very bad at hanging anything. I hope you will show us the finished wall.

I know they are going to look awesome, once they are all hung. I love them.

Gorgeous collection. These are very best to keep in entrance door or dinning room. For me It is very inspirational.

If it were my daughter she'd be thinking "please don't let her fall off the ladder"!
These are wonderful and I can't wait to see them perfectly aligned on HRH's Nap Room.

P.S. Which two months are you needing to complete your year?

In the 80s my mother-in-law bought a pair of these--the birth months of her children. They really looked great hanging over her bed. Nice collection, but I don't envy you the jigsawing puzzling of figuring out the arrangement. Best system is empty a space on the floor equal to the space on the wall and then move them around until you get them right.

I've linked to you a couple of times lately, by the way!

Oh, I love the new mats! Brings new life to these photos. Good luck on getting them hung and spaced properly. Sounds like math will be involved--my weakest subject. :/

The Nap Room sounds dreamy!
...to hang these gorgeous prints, there is brown paper and a 'spotter' involved?
You know much more than I do about these things...
hope you post an after!
...after your NAP OF COURSE!

Very pretty, but your description of the process of hanging them makes me want to take a nap. :)

I can't wait to see what they look like. We call your botanical's Anniversary prints. I have one for the month of June, my sister has April and my mother has August. All our anniversaries.
