White Bedding and matelasse

IMG_6590

I love white bedding,

and my all-time favorite white bedding is matelasse.

IMG_6565

It has texture and it ‘makes’ well-

as in making the bed.

I am just not a fan of overly patterned or bold colored bedding.

I think it is because I don’t want my bedding to make some sort of

statement in the room,

other than

‘Shhhh… come lie here…’

And the best resource for affordable matelasse bedding?

JC Penney’s.

Love it too! I share your fondness for matelasse and use my old one often as a tablecloth.

Oh, I'm a huge matelasse fan! All 4 of our beds have them and I love them. I do have printed bed runners across the foot of the beds but that's all the pattern I want. Love the white, so inviting and peaceful. Blessings!

How pretty and soothing. I have a pink matelasse spread at the end of my bed.

I love it too! That's what I've got on ours. I got it at Eddie Bauer Home years ago. I just bought my daughter an all white quilt at Target TODAY! It's from the Shabby Chic line. There is something old-fashioned about white bedding.

This is beautiful bedding. I'm afraid with 3 dogs sleeping with us that white wouldn't last very long. But I so get what you're saying about the peacefulness of white.

I have had my Peacock Alley Vienna pattern for YEARS. That helps justify the cost. It's time for new matelasse so thanks for the JCP tip!!! I'm seriously considering taking the vienna and making a slipcover for a chair!

You are so right! We don't have a Penney's here, so last year on a trip to WA I visited a Penney's and bought two twin sets for the guest room. I love them!
