Layers

P1000253

Although this photo of our den

(with the clutter cleared away),

may not send this message,

I do love layers.

P1000254
(desk by the back den window)

I love,

in no particular order,

layered cake

layered salad

layered clothes

layered jewelry (be still my layered jewelry beating heart)

layered accessories

and

(drum roll please)

layered on

Christmas decorations.

den

I am clearing away space…

are you???

PS… and yes, I did have a video posted on my blog yesterday,

but when I went back and looked,

it made me nervous.

Maybe because it was the length of

Gone With the Wind,

plus,

I showed photos of our bathrooms.

Who wants to see THAT?

And finally,

my middle daughter who tells it like it is said…

“  what’s with the creepy music?”

Film career ended.

You gotta love daughters for telling us how it is. Too funny. I missed the post yesterday so I can't comment on the length. I need to do a heavy duty overdue fall cleaning before and decorations can be put out. Your den is lovely.

I love layers too. My layered salad involves peas. Does yours?
And by the way...I love the way you hanged your pictures on the post below. They look great and it is exactly the hanging method that I use!

I think layers add warmth, be it in clothing, food, or decorating, plus it just makes us feel good! Leave it to a child (no matter how old) to tell it like it is! LOL!!!

Have a great weekend!

Layers work for me too - love them!
Your daughter - it sounds like she was raised by the same sort of mother as mine was!

Aww! I'm sorry I missed the video!! I have never really mastered layers, especially jewelry. I'll leave that to the experts: like you! Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Enjoyed your pics. :)

Laura, your den is awesome! Your mantle looks incredible and I love your table decor too! I'm not surprised that it looks just perfect, unique and so you! I'm still laughing over your film career not getting off to a great start! Daughters keep us on our toes, right?

Hugs, sweet friend,
Nancy
