If We Were Having Coffee

I wish we were having coffee this morning because I have several things that I want to share with you.

First of all, have you ever tasted an Ambrosia apple?
Oh my goodness. They are delicious.
I will be baking a flat apple pie for Thanksgiving , using Granny Smith apples, but I  am
going to use Ambrosia apples for our fruit salad.

One of our other favorite desserts at Thanksgiving is a carrot cake, which is my husband’s favorite.

And finally, after 40 weeks of Thoughts of Home on Thursday,
it is time to bring that wonderful party to an end.
I know I speak for all of the hostesses when I say how thankful I am that we shared our Thursdays
with you this year.
You have each made this such a rewarding experience.
We hope you feel that way too.

Well I'd love to have a piece of that carrot cake with some coffee. We could talk about all the super early mornings and fabulous entries at Thoughts of Home. :)

Thank you Laura, for all the fun weeks of TOHOT!

I've never had flat apple pie before - I'll have to google it!

Sounds like a great meal in the works to me. I've never had an ambrosia apple but may have to try them now. Happy rest of the week!!!

I don't think I have ever eaten an Ambrosia apple. They do sound good though. I love Honey Crisps, too, but we have a hard time getting them here sometimes. Your flat pies look good!!

I bet it will be kind of a relief to end the linky party in some ways. I know they are a lot of work and I have heard from others that they knew when it was time to let it go. Less work over the holidays, too.

Hope you have a great week. xo Diana

These look so wonderful! And I love carrot cake too. Yours is beautiful.

I will miss all the wonderful linking from TOHOT but I understand how complicated it can be to pull of something like this every week (and probably feel somewhat compelled to visit them all in your role as host). Life's crazy -- and this season of busy is right on us.

But you have a loyal follower in me, Ms. Laura -- I'm not going anywhere! So, see you next post!

Laura, I will miss Thoughts of Home, but so glad to have met you and all of the other sweet ladies. I have ambrosia apples on my list! Your desserts look heavenly ;) Also, for some reason the comments you leave on my blog are not going to my email, so thank you for your kind comments. In the future, if I don't respond, it's only because I didn't catch it! Hugs, Cecilia

Laura, I'll miss Thoughts of Home! You and the other hostesses were the most encouraging and interactive of any weekly party I've participated in. If it weren't for the party, I wouldn't have known several of you... so glad for that! :) Thanks for the time you've put into the party for the past 40 weeks! And your apple desserts... oh my... they look divine! ~Rhonda
