Last year’s After Christmas Shopping

IMG_0322

The Thanksgiving groceries have been purchased (after multiple 6:00 am trips to HEB).

The packing for our Thanksgiving trip to our oldest daughter’s house has begun.

So, a little digging in the Christmas closet seemed harmless enough…

Mercy, as my grandmother would say.

PLEASE tell me that you purchased Christmas ornaments last year, at a price you couldn’t resist,

and after packing them safely away, YOU FORGOT WHAT YOU BOUGHT???

As a result of pulling things out of sacks and going ‘what'?’,

I made two important decisions.

A.  I. may. not. go. after. Christmas. shopping. this.year,

and

B.  I am going to stop digging in the Christmas closet and watch the Aggie game, while looking for a great sweet potato casserole recipe.

Have a great weekend!

Too cute and too funny. I like to pick up a few treasures after Christmas too. New glitz for the tree mostly. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Yes, Mrs. Laura... Ganky did it too! Only difference is that I haven't even taken a peek at what I bought yet! I only hope that I don't have the urge to buy something before I get the tubs out of the attic! My Sister put her tree up today... not me, I finally got the pilgrim salt and pepper shakers out of the cabinet! They thought I had forgotten them:( Have a blessed weekend, a safe trip to your Daughter's house and a great football Saturday! HUGS!

My name is Bliss, and I vow to take the White Spray Paint oath of not going shopping for after Christmas bargains because I forget what I have bought by the next year.

Please pass on any excellent sweet tater recipe, I'm in search for one as well.
