Friday Finds and Favorites

Dansk Blue and White Platter

Friday Finds and Favorites

is a chance for me to show and share the amazing (to me) things I found at the flea market, or online in blog land, or out in the world at large.

*****

Flea Market Finds

I found the Dansk blue and white platter (above) at the flea market and I fell in love.  Why?  It is cobalt blue

and white, I never met a platter I didn’t like, it is heavy, and it reminds me of hand painted pottery from

Mexico.

And here is the amazing thing.  It was at the bottom of a box , it wasn’t chipped, and it was $1.00. Yes!

Favorites

Two of my favorite blogs , that echo an all-time message about enjoying simple things are

My Messy Thrilling Life and Assortment.

The first time I found these blogs, I read for hours.  They are that good. Enjoy!

And you must check out this appetizer recipe at Blondie’s Journal.  It sounds delicious. Jane is just the best, isn’t she?

And finally, I am obsessed with the thought of a light weight denim shirt , white boyfriend jeans, and an

animal print scarf for spring.  There is no one that does that look better than Cassie at Hi Sugarplum.

In other random news,  in the last 2 days I have lost 30 Google Friend Connect followers.  Yes… 30.

Sigh.

Any ideas?

Have a great weekend!

It's a good thing you saw that platter first, or I'd have grabbed it up! I love Dansk designs -- my everyday dishes are a Dansk blue and white pattern. Thanks for the links -- I want to spend more time on those blogs, especially. As for your Google Connect Friends, I have no idea. I may not be one -- I follow you through Feedly. I"m always glad to see a new post from you pop up!

EVERYBODY is losing big chunks of Google Friends Connect followers, because Google is eliminating every follower who doesn't use a google account. Google's getting mean about it, LOL!

LOVE the contrast of those oranges in that gorgeous Dansk platter!

What a beautiful platter...and oranges are perfect to really showcase it.
I lost several followers recently, so I just took the whole thing off my blog. Maybe it will load faster for my readers! Who knows what Blogger is up to...some days I am surprised my blog is still on-line!
Have a great weekend, Laura.

I've been on the losing end, too! And it stinks. The bad thing about it is I don't have a clue how to do much on blogger, so I guess I'm stuck.

I do love your blue and white and the oranges just pops! But, your idea of the spring outfit has me want to hit the stores. It sounds so cute!

I lost 30 in a day. Crazy. Ah well, everyone is still reading so I'm not going to worry about it!
I'd have bought that cobalt blue and white platter too. I don't think I've ever met a blue dish I didn't like!

I have a very similar platter that I found on a holiday in Spain! I love it.

Don't count the losses---in fact---don't be concerned over the numbers---JUST WRITE and the other well -it's not about how many are reading---but how well you are impacting those who are!

Blessings!

What a deal and what a beautiful platter! I will go check out those two blogs right now. I'm always on the look out for good blogs to follow. And, since you mentioned Google Friend Connect, I checked on mine and it isn't even on my blog anymore. Have no idea where it went. Crazy! Happy weekend!

Lovely to read your bits of news. The numbers thing is a google thing, not you. I thought it was sorted and then mine went down again this week and then I heard that others were having the same trouble, so just do your thing and I am sure that people will still be there. xx

Thanks so much for the mention, Laura...that is so sweet of you! These were so good and super easy to make.

Those numbers are always wacko. I've had a lot of blogger friends get upset when they go down but then they magically go up. I think it's a glitch somewhere.Have a great week!
