Spring in the Guest Room

DSC07563 (2)
I once asked a friend what she did over the weekend, and she said,
“Played with my dishes.”
I knew exactly what she meant.
I recently played in our guest room.

Spring in the Guest Room
Using my own tried and true system, I looked at the colors on the cover of one of my favorite books.
Spring in the Guest Room 4
I then found what worked in that color palette from around the house.

Spring in the Guest Room 2
One thing always leads to another, but that is where the best ideas are.

Another tip?  Blue and white is the great neutralizer.

It makes everything work.

I hope you are getting to play this weekend.

I hope you will join us Monday for our Next Garden Party,
hosted by Thoughts of Home and Share Your Cup.
I can’t wait to see your latest projects
from ’playing’ in your garden

I love blue and white wherever possible. I have some lovely pieces of blue and white Thai china brought back by my daughter after a holiday there.
I do hope your swap has arrived by now?

Love the fabric on your desk chair, Laura! And blue and white really finishes it off. Very pretty!

Oh what a beautiful room, I would be honored to stay there, smiles. We turned our guest room into my dressing, makeup and study room. No pretty colors like you have though, sad to say, smiles. You, though, have given me inspiration. Have a lovely Saturday friend.

Anytime you play with anything in your home, garden, clothing, name it, it's like it turns to perfection! Miss Laura, you are a master decorator, everything is always simply elegant!
Hugs, my friend.

I love blue and white. Blue period. And I understand. I play with my dishes. Or color. Or house. All the time!

Looking forward to the garden party!
