It Becomes Real Clear

IMG_1044

It becomes real clear for me when it involves our grandsons.

If possible, I drop everything and go.

I go because being with them and watching them play

baseball is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

It means that when the oldest (above ) who is playing in a four day tournament

goes out on the mound to pitch- I want to capture every single moment.

It means when the youngest leans up against me and says,

“Madu, can I buy a water?”, I would willingly buy him three.

There are things on hold at home.

No doubt my zinnias and tomatoes are suffering.

I have another teacher training to conduct this month in Laredo.

My father’s business affairs are ongoing.

The garage needs organizing.

And then of course there is blogging- which my heart wants to do in a way

that is appealing to whomever stops by to visit.

Instead dear friends,

I am going to watch baseball.

I know you would do exactly the same thing.

Have a wonderful weekend!

We must always remember what is really important in life. There is always other times for garden, blogs.... once today is gone you cannot recapture that time with your precious family. Happy 4th!

You have the right priority and perspective on life. It's the little things like you describe that make a difference in our lives. We all need to live for the moment and capture the joy of being with those we love. Happy 4th of July.

Those grandbabies grow up even faster than their parents did! Enjoy it!
We recently sat through 2 two and a half hour ballet performances in one day because both granddaughters were in separate performances of the same ballet. It was a long, lovely day. I wouldn't have traded it for the world. (Some of the men folk bailed...my daddy who hates ballets and musicals!) Batter up!

LOVE this post! Oh yes, we drop everything too to be a part of the grands lives and I wouldn't want to miss a thing!!! Our grandddaughter Mallory (age 8) plays ball and she loves it. Grandson is gearing up for football season right now and one grandgirl has cheer camp next week. Life is full with these babies but making memories is what keeps us going. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
