More Summer Finds and Favorites

Summer Tablescape 2

How is your summer going?

I feel like I keep saying the same thing over and over again:

”It is so hot!”

Here are a few of my recent finds and favorites that I can highly recommend.

The Nightinggale

Reading and falling in love with a book is such a personal thing.

We all have our own touch point- that moment while reading

when we think ‘wow!’.

In recommending The Nightingale, I know I am late to the game,

but while listening to it as an audio book

on a long car trip to and from El Paso, I fell in love.

If you haven’t read it, I recommend the audio version.

I downloaded the novel onto my phone for free from our public

library.

The quality and skill of the audio narrator Polly Stone is exceptional.

In fact , I enjoyed her reading so much, I am looking for other

audio books narrated by her.

DeCarols

On the shopping front, during our two weeks away, my daughter Lauren and I drove

to Ruidoso, New Mexico to a shop I have wanted to visit for a very long time-

De’Carols.

Oh my.

If you love silver jewelry that is large and over the top, as I do,

visit her web site. I bought the two pieces above to add to a Virgen de Guadalupe ring I

found at Round Top several years ago.

And lastly, who doesn’t want something cold?

Yasso

These Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars in mint chocolate

chip are to die for- and they are only 100 calories-

if that matters .

I hope you are having a wonderful summer.

PS. These are not ads or affiliate links. I just love sharing my finds with you.

And yes- the De‘Carol jewelry is as big as it looks .

Have not read this one, but have put it on my list. I enjoy an audio book and will get it for my upcoming trip.
Love your pretty silver jewelry. Now retired, I find myself wearing less jewelry. Sad state of affairs! Silver and turquoise are usually my summer go to pieces though. '-)
Stay cool. I keep telling myself, it's been worse. Ha!

I'm looking for book recommendations at the moment since I have to stay off my feet. Thank you! Beautiful post. We enjoyed Santa Fe very much although our visit was much shorter.

Keep complaining. I am. 90's almost every day and that's not something we are used to up here.

I love silver, too. Your pieces are gorgeous.

I've read a few of Hannah's books...so so. If you recommend this I'll definitely have a look.

The heat index here in Tampa Bay has been in 100's since beginning of June. It was 106 the other day. It takes my breath away. Thanks for sharing your finds, books, jewelry and a cold delight.

When it gets hot and HUMID, it feels HEAVY to me. UGH! But I will not complain as I HATE winter and being cooped up in the house all the time. Love your jewelry! I love jewelry too. One of my neighbors always says I know how to "decorate" myself:):) I haven't read that book so will look for it, thanks!

Hi, Laura,
Thanks for the book recommendation. I'm in a book club, and as a result, am always on the look out for a book to recommend to the club for us to read.

Stay cool...

I'll look for the book, Laura, and thanks for the high recommendation. I love your new silver jewelry...so pretty! My late beloved and I visited Ruidoso years ago and enjoyed our visit. While there we also went to White Sands and Cloud Croft...what great memories. Thanks for reminding me!
