Fall at Casa Golondrina

Welcome to the Fall in Love With Texas Blog Tour and welcome to our home Casa Golondrina.

Fall has arrived here in El Paso.

This is our second fall season in our home after living here almost 15 months.

What is this second fall season teaching us?

That fall has and always will be about family, friends near and far, good food and good football, and comfort.

This is a comfortable house.

I have learned that I still love and enjoy my fall things from the past, but I am now seeing fall in unexpected places-

like this pillow I found at the Santa Fe flea market, or the colors of the nicho I found years ago at the McAllen flea market.

Those things look like fall to me too.

But, the very next minute I turn around and see my beloved blue and white and my gathered and collected fall things from years past, and I think, 'that looks like fall'.

And so it all is, right?
I hope your fall season is wonderful!
Don't forget to look in unexpected places:)
If this is your last stop on our tour, organized by the wonderful Katie of Let's Add Sprinkles, we are so glad you visited. Here are links to all of the tours.

Oh that nicho is absolutely stunning Laura! I think blue and white pairs so beautifully with orange and rust. A perfect combination!

Hi Laura! I loved taking a peek at Fall in your beautiful home. Your use of your favorite blue and white paired with Fall colors is so pretty. One of my favorite things is the nicho...I'm swooning. Thank you for your inspiration on this Fall tour.

There is a certain comfort in spending a season for the second time in a new home. You know what worked last year, but can make some tweaks. Your home looks so inviting for friends and family in this season when we take time to appreciate them!

Hola Laura!
Your home is lovely!!! Love the Spanish architecture of the home itself. I haven't really seen many Spanish style homes up our way in Denton County, mostly brick, which I love since I'm used to boring stucco tract houses in Southern California. ;) Anything different, for me, is good!

I do love how you've put the blue and white chinoiserie vases with just a few fall leaves tucked in among them. Very pretty! No, I don't think we have to put away everything just because the season changes. I've enjoyed coming over today, thank you. Happy to have been on the Fall In Love With Texas tour with you!!!

Have a great weekend and happy fall to you,

Laura, I adore the blue and white pieces that catch the eye in your home. I agree--fall can be so many different things! I have really enjoyed getting a peek at how you like to decorate Casa Golondrina. It has given me lots of ideas for a fresh take on fall decor. Glad to be part of this fall tour with you! - Crissy

Your home is beautiful. Loved the china cupboard with the soup tureens; I am looking for one that size for my house (to go with 2 other mahogany colored ones already full!! I never thot of blue and white (one of my favorites) as fall, but you made it work so well! I felt serene looking at your pictures--a top compliment in my book!

Love your home's name. I've been toying with several names for mine.
I love your style and your fall accents are pretty in your new home. Always fun to find something new like your pillow.
Your table centerpiece is especially creative and attractive.
