Dear Daughters:Globes

IMG_6659

Dear Daughters,

I have a new obsession.

Globes…

IMG_6658

I rescued this one from a box at the flea market.

I had a knee jerk reaction.

I had to have it.

Now hang in there with me because there is a message here.

I thought,

while I carefully placed it in my cart,

I want to study it.   I want to

SPIN IT.

I want to use it for color inspiration in my home.

I want to point to where I live.

I may have to

rename

the

NAP ROOM

to the

MAP ROOM.

Cracking myself up,

Love MOM

Oh…

and the message is…

NEVER STOP SPINNING.

Hi Laura, I love globes, too. In fact, just today while junking with a friend, I found 3 globes. Now, mind you, I do have one at home, and how many does a person really need? I love the magazine pictures where there is a shelf filled with different sizes of globes. I want a collection like that! But I still have just one. Linda

I have a globe obsession too. I think I inadvertently passed it on to my son....half of my globes went back to school with him this fall to display on a shelf in his apartment. Now I'm on the search for more!

I love globes too. They are so popular right now too. I've only come across a couple at antique stores and sales. One was too junky and the other hubby said no :S

ITA. The mystery of all those places I've never been, all right there on a beautiful globe. They are mysterious to me. Weird?

Just too cute! And, I'm going to rename our family room to "the nap room" since Hubby uses it for that just about every day. :o) Happy week!
