Christmas Blogging

Xmas Tour

What a blessing Christmas in blog land is.  I have enjoyed visiting wonderful sites that are not only beautiful and creative but beautiful in spirit as well.  Some may think I may ‘protest too much’, but it really isn’t about stuff.

I enjoy incorporating Christmas decor into the way things look every day in my home.  To my eye, nothing looks better than red Christmas decorations against blue and white pieces and yellow walls.

I have 3 trees, and I enjoy them all.

In the study I have pinks, white, and silver.

And I so enjoy gold in the den.

I find it hard to believe that Southern Living or another magazine has not wanted to do a shoot of your home. It is just beautiful. Perhaps you need to submit some of your photos (which BTW are magazine worthy) and see what happens. It all flows so perfectly!

Hi Laura,
Your home and decorations are beautiful! I appreciate the time and effort you put into each theme...love the pink tree!
One of my favorite things is walking into a room and just smelling the perfume of pine. A few years when we had an artificial, I bought pine spray...lol!
Hope you and yours have a wonderful Holiday.

Hi Laura, love your sight and I love your pictures too. Of course it is ok to ask about the pictures...First and formost I never never never use the flash, just shut it off and pretend your camera does not have a flash, open the curtains and turn on all the lights you can find....I also use the google (picasa 3.5) you would need to download that to your computer like Susan at between naps on the porch says, I just do everything she says to do to get big pictures, my camera is a sony cybershot 7.2 about 4 years old..If you go to susans blog and click on the cat on the chair on her sidebar she has everything you would ever want to know about good pictures and it is easy to understand and works great, she is such a wonderful mentor to bloggers...love that you love the blog, by with the way the picasa program you can add light and shadows, it is wonderful....give it a try...phyllis

Your trees are all beautiful. We only have a small one up this year as we are having a few babies here and the parents pleaded with us to scale back. I am enjoying looking at everyone's trees and homes. Next year I will have all my decorations out unless of course there is another baby in the family:)
