I Can Collect Anything

IMG_0845

I would collect dirt if I had a reason- especially if I saw people circling piles of it somewhere.

What is my newest project driven obsession?  Spray Paint.  I am collecting it in whatever color strikes MY fancy and whatever strikes YOURS.

I have located and bought blogland’s famous Heirloom White and Oil Rubbed Bronze, plus others that I now love including but not limited to Satin Nickel, Ivy Leaf, and Bahama Breeze..

It’s my newest form of lipstick- since lipstick is not exactly getting a lot of use these days- as I happily trudge through my yard seeking eyesores.

Without stating the obvious (the name of my blog is White Spray Paint after all), I now love COLOR.

I just painted a cabinet I found at the Jackson Street Market Days this color.

           This became this.

I painted this cabinet red to use in the little house because it had some structural issues.

As in NO BACK and holes in the shelves. Great purchase, right? I think so.

The red looks wonderful under the gold leaf retablo with a red base color.

I am off to find a beeswax colored candle for the candlestick and to stare at the Krylon paint at Wal Mart.

Pretty! And I thought that my spray paint collection was getting too large! Am currently looking for Rustoleum's 2x the cover, even though I have no idea what I am going to paint with it!

Oh I LOVE that red chest! It is beautiful and who cares about some structural problems when you look that good on the outside:) Enjoy your day at Walmart!

I saw that red at our local home improvement store and it's a beautiful, joyous red. Can red be joyous? Well, to me, almost anything can be joyous:)

Laura..
how I love visiting your place..
never a "dull" moment..
at least you aren't cracking "off color" jokes!
love the collection..
I do have a jar of sand from home..
it has traveled the world with me..
and folks always comment/ask..
"why do you have a jar of sugar sitting on the shelf?" I have to open it to let them see..
it is indeed sugary white sand from the beach at home!
have a wally day at Walmart!
hugs and smiles..

I think you are better stocked with spray paint than Wal Mart!! I like the red cabinet...I like to see more than white and black.

Laura, Step away from the spray paint! LOL Looking at your picture you do appear to have a slight obsession with paint. I have quite a collection myself. The cabinet looks great all dressed up in red.
Hugs,
Sherry

You are so funny! I actually need to start collecting dirt to fill the low places in my yard!
I am really laughing right now because I love the name of your blog and i am about to start painting EVERY STICK OF FURNITURE in my house WHITE!! I just really like the soothing effect it has. Well, when you get tired of color, your old friend white is only a can away....
Sparkly Hugs,
Tobi and the pixies!

Laura we have GOT to be twins separted at birth!!!
I have so many cans of spray paint that there ought to be a law. I just keep picking up more. It's like a savings account for me. I must think that some act of terror is going to destroy every spray paint factory in the country and that I will have my own little stash and not be affected.
I hope you have a wonderful day working in the garden.
hugs

The cabinet turned out beautiful. I do love how quick spray painting is! I think I am a dirt collector. For my gardens anyway; compost, topsoil, leaf mold, even Alpaca manure...

Yup, I don't think you're alone in your can hoarding. I'm right there with ya.
In today's makeovers with lots of blacks and whites, I just LOVE to get a glimpse of something with great color. LOVE the color! (will have to add that to my collection)

Laura...who is number one on your emergency call list?

Where's the thermometer?

And the ice pack? Where is it?

Here, give me your arm and let me check your pulse...

Girl...you MUST be ill...

Color? COLOR?
Don't you let your Mother hear you say the "C" word...EVERYTHING MUST BE WHITE, remember?

hahahahahha
You are hilarious! I missed your last two posts and here you are, painting a fence BLUE and a beautiful chest RED!
Do you know how proud I am of you?
Plus...you are a master with a can because if I attempted anything like that, mine would be all streaky!

I'm so happy you are adding color to your collection of spray cans...you go girl!

And, to answer your question...no. I haven't met anyone yet that has embellished a spray can BESIDES YOU! :))))

Love it!

I had a very good friend who spray painted everything, for me. I would just drop the stuff off and pick it up a few days later! Glad you're getting into colors, and I love that wonderful red cabinet! Beautiful job!

Woo Hoo! You linked your post. I was just thinking about you today as I backed out of my driveway and glanced at the red bench by my front door and the white table between my black rockers. I knew I had to paint the table red and I knew just the Colonial Red to paint it! Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks for joining the Cinco de Mayo party at Woo Hoo! Wednesday.
