Once upon a time,
a lady came to a garage sale I was having with Daughter #2,
and she bought a chair.
Later that same month,
I went to the flea market
and
lo and behold
that same lady had a booth
and she was selling a chair…
which I bought to use near one of my desks-
once I recover the seat and do something interesting to the wood.
Does this sound normal?

Sure does! What a sweet little chair and I know it will look great when you give it your special touch.

What I'm wondering,, what did you sell it for then what did you pay for it? Funny story... bet you will paint it white.... Sounds normal to me!

Um...sure! Maybe it's seller's remorse :)
It may be far from the norm for some people, but I have done the same!
Laura,
That lends new meaning to the old saying, "What goes around comes around". LOL!!!
Oh I get it - indeed I do! I have a lamp and my best friend has a chair - the lamp has lived at both our houses, as has the chair. The vehicle for change?...a garage sale at her house.
I may end up with the chair back here soon.
Love it. Of course, this is normal. What in the world could be wrong with it? Anyone who thinks such is "abnormal". ;-) XOXO
Yeah, I've bought stuff that I had once bought and sold in my booth...sometimes from the one who bought it from me, and sometimes it had changed hands a time or two. All the dealers I know agree that we couldn't stay in business without each other for customers!
OMGosh- You are so funny! I love it! xo Diana
Did you hear the one about the two antique dealers shipwrecked on a desert island with only a one chair? Needless to say business was brisk.
Deb
P.S. I have owned and sold a total of three times the same victorian potty chair!
Not really but normal isn't fun:) Love the chair! Enjoy your day dear Laura, HUGS!
The true meaning of second-hand!
I adore that chair! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Tootles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
my Mom and I do that all the time...I give her something...later on she gives it back to me...then it might go back to her again...it might have different colors or covers each time...it is all in the family...
It's a pretty chair! Cute story.
You need to have a chat with John over at Going Gently...he's trying to find Normal too...has anyone seen that darn girl???
What the heck is normal? I sold a beautiful set of china in my booth and kicked myself all over for a couple of years for not keeping it. Then I found out that lady wanted to sell it so I bought it back (for the same price). Sounds "normal" to me.
