Fall Mantel

IMG_6754

I love

fall

because it feels like hope.

There are no worldly strings attached

and

no pressure to bear.

IMG_6763

It is about family and food

and gratitude

and

sports.

It is that long missed

breath of fresh air

after a long hot summer.

My mantel this year,

that is being featured at

Andrea’s blog,

The Ivy Cottage Blog,

for her Magic of Autumn series

image

is a mix of those things that

say fall to me this year:

Woodland Spode, burlap,

and burnished gold .

IMG_6775

I added antlers and feathers just for fun.

Thank you for the motivating

invitation Amanda-

it got me moving.

Wow - gorgeous! I'm a little slow this year, and I don't think I'll end up with anything even approaching this!

This mantle is gorgeous!! The woodland theme, the feathers and the bronze touches are perfect for fall. I have a bronze quail like yours... only mine is much smaller.

Just lovely!!
