Family Reunion Food Pyramid

IMG_0631

(a chocolate sheet cake I made)

Following a ‘light’ lunch at King’s Inn on Baffin Bay with the Mills family last Saturday,

(avocado salad, sliced tomatoes, fried shrimp, fried fish, fried oysters, grilled fish, onion rings, and french fries),

we all retired to my cousin Susan’s house on the bay for dessert.

We did not miss a beat.

Aren’t family reunions fun?

What are some of your favorite family desserts?

I just got home from work and all your food pictures are making me really hungry! I make a chocolate cake just like that and we love it.

Oh my, I just made some pop corn to tide me over! Ate dinner too early today! Your family get together sounds wonderful, the food sounds amazing and this cake, wow. A real Texas sheet cake! xo

Family and food just go together. Some of our favourite desserts are lemon meringue pie, rhubarb pie, pecan pie (there's a theme here!)

I like your idea of "light"!
Seriously? I think my family would eat cardboard if it's covered in chocolate frosting.

I love your chocolate sheet cake! And man, do I love Kings Inn! My grandmother said she saw you guys. They went to celebrate my grandfather's 90th birthday. :)

I think my carrot cake--we just finished it off--should be one of the major food groups. Maybe vegetable? It does have a pound of carrots in it!
