Thank You Sister Schubert

IMG_0418

This morning I am one of several hostesses at a bridal shower and brunch , and my role is to bring a spiral sliced ham, rolls, and cinnamon rolls.

        Thank goodness for Sister Schubert.

In my past entertaining life, I may have felt like I needed to butcher a hog  (grade a set of AP papers, get my 3 daughters to various and sundry activities, and re-decorate the house) in order for it to be at its best, but my life in La Vida Loca has SET ME FREE.

There are actual products out there to buy that are delicious and appropriate.

I also get to use some of this- which is after all its purpose.

Next obstacle?  Getting in the car with a ham and white linen cropped pants.

Woohoo!

that is why I don't wear white...I'm like a magnet for getting dirty or stained...so glad you found great products....that's all that matters not how much time you spent making them..

Sister Schubert's rolls are just the best ever! Laura, will have to try that ham, I am a Honey Haked Ham fan. Goodness, I invariably get something on me if I am wearing white, I know you'll get there looking like you've walked out of a Vogue photoshoot!

Have a great weekend.

An event for the silver !!! When I wear white pants, it seems "white pants" is constantly on my mind...dont hold the screen door open with your butt, dont lean against the car, dont close a car door with your butt because your hands are full,..the list goes on until I take the pants off. OMGosh and yours are linen, which means more standing, less sitting.

I don't believe we have that brand of cinnamon rolls here, but I'll have to search. Yum.

I made a spiral ham for Easter. I never tire of that brown sugar goodness. Double Yum!

Be careful with those white pants (you sound so stylish!).

Do not know that brand, but who cares, they look good! Make sure you have that new Tide stick stuff for the dribbles.

Have a lovely weekend.

I LOVE Sister Schubert's rolls, they are delicious and certainly better than anything I could whip up. They have been a life saver on more than one occasion. And white linen pants, love the look, but I'm way too klutzy to even attempt them. Have fun at the shower. Kathy

If you happen to have a Whole Foods near you I really recommend the frozen whole wheat dinner rolls. Sweet, yummy, healthy....

Works for me dear Laura! Age helps us feel better about things like this. It is more important to enjoy the occasion than to break your neck making it "Perfect"! I am sure it was wonderful and you white pants hopefully were free of ham juice:) Hugs and enjoy your Saturday evening!

I love this post...sometimes it's necessary for shortcuts...no one can tell the difference, and you won't be all tuckered out for the event!

Wearing my new white sweat pants..white UGGS slippers that are not quite as white as they were a couple of hours ago, and...Wow...what a blessing to know all that good stuff is out there. It's amazing how much easier things have gotten. I had no idea you could just go out and buy a ham like that..except at the HAM store. HONEY BAKED HAM store.

There are two women that are my best friends...Sister and Nancy. I cannot imagine life without either of them.
If I know you...you have some little secret for removing stains from white that you carry in your purse...something your mama taught you!
Bridal shower, luncheon and white pants...what a wonderful combination for a lady of style.

I served Sister Schubert rolls at Easter -- My SIL had never heard of them -- then she went to her mom's & dad's house and they were having some of the breakfast sausage rolls and told her that they had met her at a missions luncheon.

I love Sister Schubert's rolls--and especially that I can buy them by the big bag at Sam's! They're good for breakfast, sandwiches, to fill out any meal--yummm.

I'm yet another fan of Sister Schubert rolls. They are perfect for various parties. I use the sausage rolls and dinner rolls frequently and try to always have some in my freezer.
