Blue and White Inspiration: Theirs and Mine

(My favorite book on blue and white.)

My love of blue and white began

years ago and has never lessened.

I thought I would share some of my favorite inspiration photos

from my Pinterist Board,

Blue and White Favorites,

and photos from Carolyne Roehm’s book

A Passion for Blue and White.

I have had so much fun through the years with my own blue and white.

I loved creating this arrangement of my summer zinnias in this blue and white bowl,

the many rearrangements I have created in the Nap Room,

in gathering tablescape items for a dear friend’s

daughter’s engagement party,

and in the daily inspiration I get from using my

Spode Blue Italian every day.

What inspires you?

I love your stunning vignette in your nap room. Looks like a page out of a magazine!

Do you like all blue and white ceramics, porcelain, ironstone? Is there a particular thing you don't like, for example "madeinChina?" I have several small pieces of blue and white that I have that Iwould love to send to you that have been in shop for awhile. If you feel comfortable, send me your snail-mail address, please. I love to give away things that aren't selling for me that someone else may like. And I LOVE your blog and would like to do this.

The blue and white combination has always been my favorite. I was lucky enough to win Carolyn Roehm's book and have spent quite a bit of time leafing through it. In china, fabric - whatever - blue and white make me happy.

I must admit that my blue & white passion has waxed and waned over the years...only to come back. I gave a lot of my china/collection to my daughter and often wish I had it back. Yours is beautiful and photo layout worthy! Gorgeous! xo Diana

I share your love of blue and white and for Carolyn Roehm. "A Passion for Blue and White " is the only book of hers I do not have. The pic of the avocados and tomatoes make my mouth water! Great vignettes.

Your pictures are wonderful and everything looks so pretty. I've never been a blue & white person but have a close friend who has a collection. I tend to go with bright and yellow being my favorites. Yet, when I see pictures like these it makes me wonder if I should change my preferences!

It is a wonderful combination of colors, I agree.

Beautiful shots! I actually have a collection of blue and white pottery - but I try to keep the pieces on the small side since I don't have a lot of storage space.

Fun post! I'm a blue and white fan, have Carolyne Roehm's book as well as a few others on the topic. This past year, I pulled together a group of blue and white to feature in my bay window, filling them with plants. Still enjoying the look. ;-)
