No Spend January UPDATE

photo

Just a quick note regarding my No Spend January.

The hot water heater started leaking and needed to be replaced.

The sheetrock in the hot water heater closet had to be repaired.

And over the weekend , the mother board (have you ever heard of such a scary thing?) on my laptop crashed and died.

I had to buy a new laptop,  pay money to have one of those young whippersnappers in the Geek Squad retrieve the files on my hard drive and save them on my external hard drive, and apparently my Microsoft Office software is from 2007, and I have to have that in order to maintain documentation on the 16 beginning teachers I supervise.
I now have to buy that as well.

Oh… and learning how to use Windows 8, is like wearing your shoes on the wrong feet with a pencil jammed in your eye.

Be careful what you announce in cyberspace!

That is just the way it goes, isn't it? Maybe you will have to go another month with that challenge! Dianntha

AaacK! I hate when that happens... we recently had to get a replacement water tank.
Aren't you glad you're getting that 'no spend month' out of the way...after you recoup from this month--you have 11 months to prepare for next year!
have a better week. Pat

There is purpose in it all - sometimes we just don't know what it is!

Trusting that is the end of the needed spending...

I love the way you describe learning Windows. It's SO true! I also had to get a new computer and I hate everything that goes with this. I still need to transfer everything, but most go out and purchase new software for everything I used to have. SO aggravating. I do believe I wish ill on Mr Bill Gates.

I'm sorry to laugh at this post but you made me do it with that last part about the shoes on the wrong feet with a pencil jammed in your eye! Oh, dear. But I am sorry about your motherboard and all these things that have gone wrong.
