That picture is everyone's worse nightmare.

When I saw that picture I looked at your profile to see where you were from because it looked like a texas scene to me! I laughed when I saw S. Texas. That's where I grew up (near Alice, Corpus Christi) and scenes like that were all too common!

Not good water. Fortunately, it's not flat where I live, so we don't see much of that.

The word "flashfloods" was invented in Texas wasn't it. Anyway, I'll take some rain right now.

My poor friend! We are getting pounded with rain as I write this. I choose to look at the brite side - at least I don't have to water my grass for a while (Yup, we're the only ones left in the 'hood without a sprinkler system). ~~Kim~~

Reminds me of my time in Mobile, AL. When it was raining it din't matter if you had an umbrella because the rain would bounce off the ground and you would still get soaked!

Laura,

I just feel so bad for you. You certainly do not need words for this. haven't we all had the worse rains this spring?? I am in the Midwest and I have not been able to plant anything in the ground yet because it never dries out between rains.

I have no room to complain. I hope you don't have any property damage.

Thanks for stopping by last week. Your words were priceless and I am holding them close to heart.

Wishing you sunshine....

xoxo

Oy... we went through this last summer and let me tell you, one of the worst things I've gone through ever. No in, no out, no electricity which meant no air, no fridge... it was horrible. I pray your water receeds soon.

Hey! All that rain must mean your housework is getting done???!!!

Is this a current picture? I didn't realize ya'll were getting so much rain. Hope this didn't do too much damage. Even if I didn't know you were in Texas, that picture would have tipped me off right away. It seems it's either feast or famine here. Kathy

Oh my, that doesn't look good at all. I've only experienced minor flooding while living in Northwest Florida. I hope that's not you having to go through that.

Laura,
I am glad this was only a temporary problem. I definitely hope I never take a picture that looks like this of my home!
