Day 29: Simple Fall Porch

IMG_5434

One of the simplest things I enjoy is re-using things from around my house in different ways or in seasonal displays.

I just open the boxes marked fall, take a look at what’s inside , and start slinging.

It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

So having a recycled wreathe (above) and adding black and white check ribbon meant for

Christmas 4 years ago works for me.

It really worked once I took the black linen pillows from my den and threw them on the wicker love seat out front.

October is almost over.

Can you believe it?

Lovely wreath! I also had to laugh at your post encouraging ghosts and gypsies. I teach school and totally did the same thing. I still find myself reusing those. Costumes.

Houndstooth/buffalo check is very in. Save that ribbon, you will always find something under those categories to fit in any decor...well maybe not Easter (doesn't coordinate with pastel eggs).

I so envy you with your warm weather and ability to have a porch like this in November. We have a storm with 50 mph winds and snow tomorrow. Okay, not typical but I am feeling a little smiffed over that porch of yours right now :)

Your FALL porch is lovely as ever!
If you hadn't told me...I'd have never recognized the black and white meant for Christmas ribbon.
Ssshhh! I won't tell.
November 2 will be here before you know!
