Day 30: Simple Birthday Dinner

IMG_5425

Last week I hosted our October birthday group celebration honoring three dear teacher friends,

and we kept things very simple.

Everyone, except the honorees, brought something.

Menu

Spinach Artichoke Dip and Crackers

Spinach Salad with Raspberries, Sugared Pecans, Raspberry Vinaigrette

Hot French Bread

Hash Brown Casserole

and

BBQ Brisket from our local BBQ restaurant (my contribution)

and

Chocolate Sheet Cake  topped with Vanilla Ice Cream
for dessert

I decided to buy the brisket by the pound at a bbq restaurant because it is always delicious, and although I make a brisket often for our family gatherings, it is not a guaranteed success.

I justified the cost because by the time I went to the grocery store and bought a brisket and various other items, buying it made more sense.

That’s my story ladies!

It doesn’t have to be complicated, does it?

Nice, A simple and enjoyable October birthday celebration. The menu included various dishes contributed by attendees, with the BBQ brisket from a local restaurant, simplifying the process and enhancing the overall experience.
